Mazdaspeed 6 Intake

So with the success of our Mazdaspeed 3 intake, we decided to test out the intake on the Mazdaspeed 6. With the same engine, but slightly different tuning, we were very pleased to find out that the intake works just as well on the Mazdaspeed 6, as on the Mazdaspeed 3. Last week we were very fortunate to have a customer lend us his MS6 for the day to make up a bracket for the intake. Using our rapid prototype machine, I was able to draw up a quick bracket to test fit. Mind you, this is not what the final bracket will look like.
I will be finishing up the design this coming week and send it off to be prototyped out of steel. The only difference between the MS6 and MS3 intakes will be a larger filter for the MS6 and a different mounting bracket. Do not worry MS6 owners, we have not forgotten you!
Thank you Cobb! Alot MS6′ers will be happy with your SRI. Many already purchased your MS3 intake for their MS6 and are pleased with the results. It has even fixed the dreaded fuel cut on some cars. I will most definately purchase one for my car when it’s released. Now for the Access Port… Thanks again!!!

I have your MS3 SRI on my Speed6. Would there be a way to either trade you the MS3 bracket for the MS6 bracket or buy the MS6 bracket outright?

Price should be the same as the current MS3 intake. As far as ETA, it will be ~1 week to get a prototype of the bracket, and then figure 2-3 weeks to get a production order. So, if all goes well, it should be available before the end of February. I will keep you posted. Thanks.

This is fantastic. I hadn’t really planned to make any modifications just yet, but the fact that we’re finally getting a tailored product from Cobb is cause for celebration; I think I’ll have to buy this.

Whats the status on this. Ive got mine on order from SU for some time. They claim 3 weeks out. We’re all waiting patiently….any news you can shed on realistic receive time of the MS6 units to SU???

We had a set back with our supplier. Quite a few of the MAFs we received on our recent shipment had to be rejected. They are working to fix the problem and send us new MAF adapters as soon as they can.
Just got off the phone with you guys and he’s saying the intake is 4-6 weeks out. You’re still waiting for a part? How can there such delays. Its mid-june now.

Unfortunately we are having supplier issues. We received a large shipment of MAF housings, but we had to reject 75% of them do to wavy or broken air flow straighteners. This defeats the point of an airflow straightener and we do not want to give our customers bogus parts. I truly apologize for all the inconveniences. We are trying to get another supplier on line, so we can get this problem resolved and parts out to everyone as quickly as possible. Again, I apologize for the delay.

I have a 06 mazdaspeed 6 and wondering do you have the short ram intake avaiable by now? Will the hp gains by similar to a cold air intake?, have the same noise? Reason for not wanting a cold air intake is risk of water. Please get back to me asap. Thanks.

We are having major issues with our supplier. I do not have a date now for when the intake will be released. I apologize. I will try to keep everyone updated with no information as it becomes available.
HP gains are about ~7 whp. The SRI will be a little louder.
