The v4.01 and v4.02 Off-The-Shelf maps for BMW N54 AccessPORTs have been promoted to General Release. The v4.01 and v4.02 maps now supersede v3.01 maps, which have been archived. COBB Tuning recommends upgrading to the latest version of the maps for optimal performance. These maps can be downloaded from the BMW AccessPORT Off-The-Shelf Map Database. For instructions on downloading maps, transferring them to the AccessPORT and flashing them to the BMW ECU, please see the Step-by-Step Map Download and Install Tutorial.
what is the difference between 4.01 and 4.02?
The v4.02 maps are revised for Stage 2+ cars to decrease boost oscillations and provide a smoother power band.

Is Liner trottle better than stock trottle maps?
Linear throttle maps and stock throttle maps make the same peak horsepower! The only difference is how the throttle pedal feels. The stock throttle maps provide throttle input just like the factory: the power surges is and you get about 80% of the the full torque target with only 40% pedal input. Out stock throttle maps allow you to modulate the throttle better and provide a 40% target with 40% pedal input and so on. It really just comes down to personal preference, so I recommend trying both.

For BMW 1M, is it true that only stock throttle map retains the M button functionality? Thanks.
The M button only changes throttle feel. So we only keep that “feature” on the stock throttle mapping.
