NOTE: The Dylan Donation Drive to win an AccessPORT has come to a close. Together we raised over $8,000 for this cause and six lucky folks won AccessPORTs! If you would still like to donate to the Levy’s, please visit the Dylan Levy Donations page to contribute via PayPal. Thank you everyone for your overwhelming support!
COBB Tuning is giving away a free AccessPORT in each of the markets we support in an effort to drive donations to assist with the medical bills from Dylan and Noah Levy’s upcoming partial liver transplant surgery. Their father/son transplant is scheduled for February 7th, which is rapidly approaching, so time is of the essence!
Noah is half of the two brother team that owns LIC Motorsports, a Subaru performance specialty shop based in Novato, CA. LIC Motorsports. You may have become aware of their racing efforts in the 2010 Redline Time Attack Series through their season long documentary called “The Underdogs”. These videos show just what can be accomplished with little more than drive, determination and a true love of cars and racing. Noah and Adam have made lasting impressions on their fellow competitors as well as the car enthusiast community in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Throughout the 2010 racing season, few of us were aware of the stress the Levy’s were dealing with away from the track in dealing with Dylan’s illness. Dylan is Noah and Amber’s 5 year old son, and he has biliary atresia. It is a condition that affects the liver from birth and has advanced to the point that little Dylan now requires a liver transplant. His dad, Noah, is the only available donor right now, and will be donating half of his liver to his son on February 7th. Episode 5 of “The Underdogs” drives home just how stressful this year has been and how dire Dylan’s situation is now.
This is a very difficult time for the Levy’s and while the upcoming medical bills are not what their focus is on right now, it is something they will have to face in the near future. COBB Tuning is donating six AccessPORTs (one each for Subaru, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Nissan, MINI and BMW) as an incentive to drive donations to help the Levy’s deal with the post surgery bills.
Donations can be made directly to the Levy family via their website at http://www.dylanwlevy.com/donate.html. For every $10 donated, you will receive one entry to win an AccessPORT for your vehicle manufacturer. Multiples of $50 donations receive six entries to win. Simply email your PayPal donation receipt to dylan@cobbtuning.com with your name, vehicle manufacturer, telephone number, email address and street address. You will receive a confirmation for the number of entries recorded. The drawings will be held on February 7th and the winners will be notified via email.
Let’s show the Levy’s just how close knit a community we are!

As promised, we have released a firmware update to all BMW AccessPORTs. What’s more, Rob has been working very hard to implement all the ROMs he has received to date and we are able to include this support ahead of schedule! If you are still awaiting confirmation of support for your 335i or 135i, this update will enable AccessPORT support for you ECU.
All AccessPORT maps have been consolidated by ROM type. There is no longer a distinction between automatic and manual maps. This update also fixes the load limit and associated limp mode bug for MSD80 ECUs.
This release is currently in BETA format. To update to this latest release, follow these instructions:
1. Uninstall your AccessPORT. The AccessPORT must be uninstalled before this update can be completed.
2. If you have not already, download AccessPORT Manager 2.0. Windows/MAC. Watch this video for a tutorial on using AccessPORT Manager.
3. Update your AccessPORT to BETA firmware.
4. Reinstall your AccessPORT and the update will be complete!
Again, you must first UNINSTALL your AccessPORT completely before updating. The AccessPORT will not update to this new firmware if left in an “installed” state.

COBB Tuning is pleased to announce major updates to the Mitsubishi EVO X and Ralliart AccessPORT, Off the Shelf Maps and AccessTUNER Race tuning program. These comprehensive updates greatly expand AccessTUNER Race to bring it on par with AccessTUNER Pro. Tables and monitors for all supported EVOXs and Ralliarts have been expanded and relabeled for easier more intuitive tuning, especially for large-turbo applications. AccessTUNER Race now features an auto update and rollback feature. AccessTUNER Race will now automatically update to the latest version without need for downloading a new copy. The rollback feature allows users to revert to the previous version of AccessTUNER if issues are found in an update version.
AccessPORT firmware has also been updated for improved menu navigation, more intuitive uninstall screen and improved data monitoring navigation. An “Expose ECU data” option is also available that allows users to backup their OEM ROM to their home PC. This new update also includes an AccessPORT demo mode which can be used as a screen saver if the AccessPORT is left idle. This update also resolves several bugs and issues with the current version of AccessTUNER Race, as well OTS Maps. Issues with injector pulse width have been resolved allowing proper scaling of larger injectors with AccessTUNER Race. This also resolves fueling issues with our OTS map offerings
To implement these dramatic improvements in the Mitsubishi AccessPORT simply update your AccessPORT with Manager 2.0 and fill out the AccessTUNER request form found on the COBB Tuning website.

Check out COBB Tuning’s own Aaron “Biggie” Brown at the inaugural event of Ken Block’s Gymkhana drift during the burnout competition. Watch as Biggie runs over several innocent cones and comes very near to endangering the lives of the Monster Energy Drink girls during his this wild rubber-burning melee! Biggie and his 600hp EVO IX made quite the impression on the crowd as well as calling Travis Pastrana out for not competing! Look for Biggie at future Gymkhana events, that is, if they invite him back again.
