Cobb Tuning Plano showcased cars and parts at Import Face-off in Ennis, Texas recently. We convoyed out with our friends from DFWMazdas.com and really appreciated all the help they provided with set up. Cliff Wallace, organizer of IFO had his GT-R tuned the day before at our COBB Tuning Plano facility. His car made 545wtq and 527whp on our Mustang dyno. His only modifications are mid-pipe and AccessPORT with a custom tune by Calvin Dotson. Running an 18psi map, Cliff made a 11.2-second pass at 120 mph and was warned by event staff not to do it again without a roll cage! This is easily a 10-second car and Cliff is dead-set on proving it.

Our own Chris Fleming brought out his SCCA “Fat Albert†to see how it would do in the quarter mile. The car has spent its life dodging cones and has never seen a drag strip. Chris asked one of our good friends, Austin Lasure to drive the car. With a few practice runs, Austin made an 11.9-second pass at 119mph, very impressive considering he had never driven the car before. COBB Tuning is proud to sponsor and support community events like Import Face-off. Please contact us about sponsorship for your next event!
