COBB Tuning announces the release of AccessTUNER Pro v1.7 for the Mitsubishi EVO X. Using AccessTUNER Pro v1.7, professional engine tuners can configure the EVO X ECU to extract maximum power from a given set of performance modifications. Professional engine tuners can create custom calibrations for vehicles with aftermarket intakes, exhausts, turbos, cams or any combination of performance modifications. Latest Evolution gets handheld ECU manager and tuning software solution

The AccessPORT is the first hand-held device available for the EVO X that performs an ECU reflash through the vehicle’s OBDII port. Just plug it in, load the maps and go! Faster!

Flashing the ECU for increased performance is just the start of what the AccessPORT is capable of. Set the AccessPORT to Performance mode to capture 0-60MPH times, ¼ Mile times and Trap Speeds. Switch over to Live Data and choose a gauge to monitor, such as; coolant temperature, intake air temperature, throttle position, intake cam advance, exhaust cam retard, MAF voltage, injector pulse width and many more. Select the integrated Datalogger to record multiple channels of data simultaneously. Or use it as a shift light that flashes the screen when a user defined rpm is reached. Use the Troubleshooting mode to diagnose issues by reading the factory codes and resetting the system once the issues have been resolved.

The AccessPORT can be used to eliminate separation anxiety for those times you are away from your car. Protect your investment when out on the town by quickly loading the Valet map to prevent the engine from revving above 3,200 rpm. Load the Anti-Theft map when you park to make it impossible to start. COBB GT-R Anti-Sway Bar Kit

The COBB GT-R Anti-Sway Bar kit was developed using sound motorsports engineering principles and further validated by hundreds of miles of on-track testing and competition on the COBB GT-R Time Attack car. Overall roll stiffness is increased which allows the driver to attack the corners, rewarding him with razor sharp turn-in response, reduced mid-corner understeer and improved corner-exit balance. This all translates to increased confidence while driving the GT-R at its limits!

The COBB GT-R Anti-Sway Bar kit has multiple settings both front and rear, giving additional adjustment so handling can be tuned to driver preference. The tubular design allows significant rate increases (up to 94% over stock) with a minimal Lose Weight Exercise penalty of only 2.7 pounds. The included polyurethane bushings eliminate flex and provide immediate transient response that the driver can feel.

This kit is a direct replacement for the factory equipment and works with all of the factory undertray pieces. The mounting hardware and factory endlinks are retained while new mounting straps designed for higher loads are provided front and rear. The lightweight tubular bars are CNC bent for exceptional quality control and perfect fitment. COBB 3″ SS Downpipe for MazdaSpeed3

Intelligent engineering, exceptional craftsmanship and premium materials go into this extraordinary piece

COBB Tuning announces the immediate availability of the COBB 3” Downpipe for the 2007-2008 MazdaSpeed 3,which is a study in engineering design and artistic execution. The COBB 3” Downpipe replaces a very restrictive element in the Mazdaspeed3 exhaust system. Considerable effort was spent designing a flow path with the fewest number of direction changes and minimal degrees of bend in order to eliminate restrictions. This beautifully fabricated downpipe delivers significantly improved exhaust flow, resulting in faster turbo response time and power gains across the entire rev range, while still protecting the environment with its highly efficient custom catalytic converter.

The engineering that went into the COBB 3” Downpipe started with the CAD designed investment-cast turbine outlet, made of 304 stainless steel for enduring corrosion resistance and reduced heat transfer to the engine bay. The shape of the outlet flange makes optimal use of the tight confines of the MS3′s engine bay, smoothly blending turbine outlet and wastegate gases. The outlet flange is configured with two O2 sensor bungs; one to accommodate the stock O2 sensor and another with a pre-installed plug that can be removed to allow an aftermarket wideband O2 sensor or datalogging device with easy engine bay access.

A custom spun metal substrate high flow catalytic converter comes next. This one piece 400 grade stainless steel cat has a much higher flow rate and longer lifespan compared to ceramic or “brick” style cats. It also reaches operating temperature faster than other style cats for cleaner cold-start emissions. A third O2 sensor bung is located immediately after the cat to be used by the second OEM O2 sensor.

The stainless steel flex section used in the COBB 3“ Downpipe is internally lined (unlike most flex sections) and provides smoother exhaust flow and much longer lifespan for the steel braiding. The placement of this flex section in the factory location (before the first exhaust hangers) is critical in absorbing engine movement and eliminating damaging stresses that would otherwise be applied to the flange, cat, exhaust hangers and chassis. This increases the longevity of the downpipe as well as downstream exhaust components.

All tubing used in the fabrication of this downpipe is polished 304 stainless steel for increased corrosion resistance and a mirror-like finish. The 304 stainless steel hangers are cross-welded and well braced to eliminate a point of fatigue that is evident in other aftermarket downpipe designs.

The end flange uses the stock donut gasket and factory spring bolts to aid in flex, longevity and proper fitment. This provides an improved seal compared to other methods, as well as reduced noise. An additional benefit is that it makes the COBB 3” Downpipe compatible with any cat-back exhaust that mates to the factory cat section.

COBB Double Adjustable Shifter at OCC!

It’s been said that a picture is worth a thousand words.  We’re pretty sure this one says “…or I’ll kick your ass!” in the second paragraph.

This photo was sent to us by Storm Sasaki.  Storm is the photographer at Orange County Choppers, a MazdaSpeed3 owner and a COBB Tuning customer.  He was so excited when he received his COBB Double Adjustable Shifter that he showed it to all the guys at Orange County Choppers. Now everyone that drives stick wants one!
