MazdaManiac is one of our Professional AccessTUNERs facilities for the Mazda RX-8. Jeff Abrams, the tuner at MazdaManiac, owns a forced induction RX-8 that features a MazdaManiac specially modified Garrett GT3071R(WG) turbo upgrade (shown below) for the GReddy RX-8 turbo system. This is a turbocharger with a machined compressor back plate and special adapter flanges that allow the Garrett GT3071R to fit the GReddy RX-8 manifold and downpipe…a perfect upgrade for those looking for more power from their GReddy RX-8 turbo system. MazdaManiac has become experts at tuning N/A and forced induction (supercharged and turbocharged) RX-8s using the RX-8 AccessPORT and RX-8 Professional AccessTUNER software, where the above animated screen shot was taken from.

The Cobb RX-8 AccessPORT from MazdaManiac is currently available for the North American automatic transmission, 4-port and 6-port models as well as the manual transmission 6-port models for 2004 through 2008. MazdaManiac has extensive database of RX-8 calibrations for the AccessPORT. Axis Wheels will be using the R35 AccessPORT as the EMS solution on their latest creation, the Axis Wheels R35 Time Attack vehicle. James Chen, owner of Axis Wheels, will be piloting this vehicle at various Time Attack, road racing, and magazine test events throughout the remainder of the year and for the 2009 season.
